Autumn and Willow are the cutest little Alpacas you ever did see. And pretty much the most magical creatures that exist. They are half-sisters who were raised on a beautiful Alpaca farm in central California. They both just celebrated their first birthday in November and currently weigh in at only 50-60 pounds (compared to the average 100-150) Because of their small size, they can’t be bred and don’t offer a full size amount of fleece, so they came to live a wonderful life with us in Orange County, Ca where they eat hay, relax in the sun and roll in anything they can find. They are best friends, but as opposite as can be.
Meet Autumn

Autumn is extremely proper and dainty, very particular. She reminds of us of a ballerina or a model, always posing, often with a serious expression, but always full of grace. Autumn is a beautiful and unique rose gray color which looks like the red, burnt orange colors of changing leaves. She was born tiny and so far has no desire to change that. Her favorite activities are eating hay and rolling in things. She has been known to take things leisurely on walks and like to hum back when you sing or hum to her.
Meet Willow

Willow is a silver fuzz ball and a walking comedian. She has the fuzziest alpaca ears we’ve ever seen that hang like a willow tree over her head. We call her our little clown, she makes the best facial expressions and makes us laugh endlessly. She pretends to not want to be touched, but when we pick her up she lounges and soaks in the attention, even going as far as to tell Autumn to back off while she enjoys being the center of attention. She loves to eat. She also falls asleep easily when we sing lullabies to her.
What you should know about both of them
They are just amazing to be around. Visiting them for 20 min can quickly turn into hours without noticing. They are amazingly calming and always hilarious. They have wonderful expressions. They don’t always like to be pet-which is such a tease because they are sooooo soft!!!! But they love to relax and hang out, especially if hay is involved. Alpacas are the most calm and wonderful creatures, they bring an insane amount of joy to all of those they meet. Also the only noise they make is a gently hum.
How did this Happen?
We went on a birthday Alpaca hike in Los Angeles and fell in love. We immediately had a special connection with the mini alpaca we met and knew we had to get one or ten of our own (just the two so far.) This all happened in a matter of weeks and it all fell into place like it was meant to be. We drove them home in the back of our Subaru which was filled with hay. And to answer your question – yes, it is a very weird things to suddenly be the owner of two tiny alpacas who are happily munching hay in the back of your car.
